NitroType Integration Terms
1. What this is
NitroType API (nitrotype-api.vercel.app) is an unofficial, free, community-built service operated by Recanon. It is notaffiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NitroType, Teaching.com, or any of their affiliates. “NitroType” is their trademark; it is used here only to describe what the service reads.
These terms cover two things: using the API yourself, and using a Recanon product (for example a zmresume résumé with NitroType live-data fields) that reads NitroType stats through it on your behalf. By doing either, you agree to them.
2. What data it reads, and what it does not
- The public endpoints (
/api/racer/{username}and its image variant) read a racer's public profile page on nitrotype.com — the same page anyone can open in a browser — and return the statistics NitroType already publishes there (speed, accuracy, races, level, and similar). - No NitroType password, session, or token of yours is ever requested, received, or stored by these endpoints. You only supply a username.
- Responses are fetched on demand and not retained as a database of racers. A short cache may exist to keep the service fast and to avoid hammering NitroType.
- This project also contains an automation that claims the operator's owndaily reward. It is locked to the operator's single account and cannot act as anyone else. It is not part of the public API and never involves your account.
3. Your responsibilities
- Only request stats for racers whose public profile you are entitled to display — your own, or where the racer has agreed.
- Your NitroType account remains governed by NitroType's own terms. Nothing here changes those, and nothing here authorises you to do anything NitroType forbids.
- Do not scrape, mirror, bulk-download, or resell responses, and do not try to evade rate limits. Abusive traffic will be blocked.
4. No warranty — read this
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. It depends entirely on the structure of a third-party website that can change or block it at any moment. It may break, return stale or wrong numbers, or stop existing without notice. If you put a number from this API in front of a recruiter, an employer, or anyone else, you are responsible for checking it. You use it at your own risk and assume all of it.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recanon and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the service or from data obtained through it — including lost opportunities, reputational harm, inaccurate statistics, downtime, or any action NitroType takes regarding your account. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service, which is zero.
6. Changes and termination
We may change, rate-limit, suspend, or shut down the service, or change these terms, at any time. Material changes update the effective date above. If NitroType asks us to stop, we will.
